The ProblemIn this game, we are trying to find a simplest way to have both the forest and the people get its share. The most ideal situation is that people keeps or finds new jobs, and get the resources they need, while the forest gets to stay a forest and have the least amount of tree cut down as possible. To get this to happen, we need to reduce the use of wood based products by finding an alternative. The two main wooden products to replace are wooden furniture and paper. Wooden furniture could be easily be replaced by furnitures of other material. An added bonus is that you can used recycled material and get rid of two problems. Paper could be replaced by other methods of writing or drawing such as using a tablet pc to draw, or a computer to write with. Sometimes uses of wood is required. In that case, we should still be able to uses wood, but not from the forest. There is a way to genetically enhance the growth rate of a tree. With that technology, we can produce some woods for industrial use. The land that we are making by cutting down forests can be replaced by making use of empty plots of land or reclamation. We could also have residential homes on shallow water. As for the trees already cut down, we can have people plant the trees back. It is a slow process involving hard labor and time, but it is faster than letting the trees grow back on their own.
